We are so excited to have you join us, and we want you to feel completely comfortable stepping through our doors! Here is some helpful information about attending classes at our studio:
-
Students are encouraged to register for classes ahead of time. Our schedule can be found here on our website, through our schedule software program, or using our app (both Apple and Android versions available). It's as simple as clicking "Book Now" next to the class you'd like to attend, and following the prompts to register and pay. Confirmation of your purchase and your class reservation will be sent via email!
-
Our doors are open 30 minutes prior to each class, and locked as soon as the class starts to ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and everyone's belongings.
-
New Students: Please register beforehand - at the very least, simply making your account with us (using the schedule links above), which includes a waiver and release. For your first visit, please arrive at the studio 15-20 minutes prior to the class start time to make sure you are fully registered and paid, and to become acquainted with the facilities.
-
All Students: Please arrive at the studio at least 10 minutes prior to the class start time.
-
Pre-registration for any class does not guarantee a spot. Students must arrive a minimum of 10 minutes prior to the class's start time in order to keep their spot in the class. If a student who has pre-registered does not arrive 10 minutes before a class is scheduled to begin, their spot will be considered available to the public.
-
Once you arrive, please check in with your teacher at the front desk, either using our Check-In Tablet, or asking the teacher to add you to the roster. If you haven't paid or if your pass has expired, your teacher will be happy to assist you in making a purchase, or you can make any purchase yourself online using our schedule links above.
-
In the lobby there are cubbies for you to place your belongings that you don't need in the practice room. We ask specifically that you do not bring in shoes, hats, electronic devices, or food. Water is ok to bring in. Fitness watches must be put on DO NOT DISTURB so that they do not ring or vibrate.
-
We have two showers for students to use, and we have towels for rent ($2 for a regular bath towel).
-
We consider it your responsibility to practice at your personal level of ability. We will never force you into any postures, nor force you to do anything at all that you do not feel comfortable doing. It is your responsibility to let your teacher know if you have any injuries, or if you are pregnant.
-
Students are encouraged to bring their own mat, but we do have mats for rent ($2). We also have YogiToes towels for rent ($4) and regular bath towels ($2).
-
What students wear is completely up to the individual. Your basic exercise wear (such as yoga leggings, sports bras, tank tops, t-shirts, etc.) is normal. It is suggested that you avoid baggy, billowing clothing as they could get in the way of your movement. Please, no clothing depicting violence or drugs, and no clothing of a revealing nature. Both women and men of all ages practice at the studio and we wish to be respectful of everyone.
-
You may consider leaving jewelry at home as it can impair movements.
-
Yoga is practiced with bare feet for better grip and movements on your mat.
-
Each "regular" class is typically an hour long, ending with a Savasana between 5-10 minutes, and we ask that you stay for the full duration of the class in order to avoid disturbing others around you.
-
We suggest that you avoid eating heavy meals before you practice.
-
Being properly hydrated is VERY important when practicing Yoga, especially Hot Yoga. We suggest drinking water before you arrive, and we also sell Coconut Water at the studio for even better hydration.
-
As most of our classes are heated, proper hygiene is important, including your body and clothing. We also ask that you avoid wearing any perfumes or heavy fragrances, and please avoid smoking before taking a class.
-
Children under the age of 13 must be pre-approved to attend classes by the owner of the studio, and a parent or guardian must be present during the class. Please note that we do not recommend children under the age of 13 taking Hot Yoga without first discussing their attendance with the owner of the studio.
-
No one may be left unattended in the lobby during classes, including children.
